Because the installation disk was a copy of the one from my PC, I decided to use the original disk, so again, booted the CD, accepted the terms, Custom installation, now this is the problem part. The dvd motherboard drivers is to old and will not open in Windows 7. I unpacked both to a USB flashdrive in seperate folders. Can someone help me find a driver that should work or am i doing anything else asppire Was that link to a download page?

For the sake awpire improving the answer or notI commented to ask the person who posted the answer to clarify why it is proper and back it up with a source. The flash drive shows up in Devices, but not in Computer. Okay, have tried that and it’s not working unfortunately.

I was actually getting ready to post here about my x problem but reading other posts realized that my motherboard drivers were freakishly out of date versions, forgot about them last time I was installing a system.

The time now is Acdr laptop has the newest BIOS – 1.

It worked fine with Vista, but now when I plug it in Windows 7 tries to install a driver and fails. Thanks theog, will have a look, nice tutorial btw: If you can only find F6 drivers for Win xp there will do. It’s saying that theres no driver for it. It’s worth a try as I just want my netbook back.

Click Load Driver to provide a mass storage driver for installation. The Windows 7 DVD is staring, Win7 setup is starting and when it comes to Hard Drive options it says that no drive was detected and i should try search for drivers. Does the BIOS of the netbook detect the harddisk?
